Meet Franklin Harris

I am the Founder of Franklin Harris Consulting, an HR and strategic business consulting firm that helps small businesses, nonprofits, and growing organizations strengthen their people systems, leadership practices, and HR compliance.

Based in downtown Oakland, Franklin Harris Consulting reflects both my professional growth and my personal roots. As an Oakland native, opening my office in the heart of the city represents a full-circle moment and a deeper commitment to serving the businesses, leaders, and organizations shaping the Bay Area.

I bring more than 15 years of experience in Human Resources, operations, leadership development, and organizational strategy across healthcare, technology, retail, hospitality, biotech, and nonprofit environments. My work focuses on helping organizations strengthen HR compliance, improve employee management practices, clarify policies, support leaders, and create systems that make the business easier to run.

What sets my work apart is the balance of structure and human insight. I understand policies, payroll, compliance, documentation, and organizational structure, but I also understand communication, trust, leadership presence, and the everyday decisions that shape workplace culture.

Through Franklin Harris Consulting, I support clients with HR consulting, fractional HR support, compliance audits, employee handbooks, leadership development, people operations, recruiting support, and strategic guidance for business owners and executives.
